A Little Bit About The School Counselor!
My name is Constance Pewee-Childs and I have been the counselor at Tuscaloosa Magnet Schools-Middle since the first day students entered the building. That was eight years ago! It has been a wonderful experience. This is my 12th year in education. I was a high school and middle school Honors English Teacher. I graduated from the University of Alabama with my undergraduate in Secondary English/Language Arts. I received my Masters in School Counseling and another one in Educational Leadership from The University of West Alabama. I a married to a wonderful guy named Lamarkus Childs. We have two children, an 8-year old girl named Jada, and a 4-year old son, Tyler. We have a new family member named Charlie, our kitten. I love being able to have a piece of influence on every child at TMS-M. Being the school counselor, gives me that wonderful opportunity.
